That’s where I do most of my shopping because they know GIT’ER DONE!
1. KastKing Blackhawk II Best Telescopic Fishing Rod
Amy: This small number is a great starting point for a folding, best telescopic fishing rod. It has an elegant and beautiful design, along with a black coat that will make you feel like a real man when you hold it. The rod also comes with these amazing features:
- 24 tons of Toray Carbon Blanks
- 90-degree vertical compression layer
- 135-degree diagonal distortion resistant layer # 1
- 45-degree diagonal distortion resistant layer # 2
- 180-degree horizontal strength and crack resistant layer

On top of all that, the Blackhawk is also a portable fishing rod. It’s a retractable fishing rod that fits nicely in your backpack pocket so you can take it with you wherever you go. Your fishing rod never has to hold you back.
You can catch the really big ones with this and from a distance of over 7 feet! I’m telling you what. If there is a rod out there that can top this, it could be in a fisherman’s heaven, you know what I’m saying?
2. PLUSSINO Telescopic Rod
Amy: For starters, you get almost the same as you would get from the previous product. It is the best telescopic fishing rod, a folding fishing rod, a retractable fishing rod, and a portable/travel fishing rod. What is different about this rod is its reach. There are several sizes to choose from and the largest size can reach up to 11 feet. That is better than the last one.
PLUSINNO has a target made primarily of graphite, a cheaper material, but don’t confuse this rod with anything more than a quality product. It is often called the ideal choice for fly fishing, saltwater fishing, and travel. These are some of its characteristics:
- Stainless steel reel seats that are anti-corrosive, perfect for saltwater fishing
- A carbon fiber and fiberglass design that makes the rod strong and durable and
- An EVA foam grip for supreme comfort

The PLUSINNO telescopic fishing rod is also a fan favorite among other anglers and the like as it receives more than its fair share of five-star ratings. In fact, of nearly 300 ratings on Amazon, 70 percent were five-star ratings, giving the rod a final rating of 4 out of 5 stars. How do you like apples?
Wooooweee! We have seen some amazing fishing rods and we still have 8 more left. I don’t know about you, but I get dizzy thinking about what we’ll find next. Let’s keep going!
3. Sougayilang Telescopic Rod
Amy: With this one, you will carry a little more weight than with the other fishing rods. That would be because the main materials used to make this rod were carbon and metal, unlike fiberglass and so on. However, this rod will do you a good thing.
The Sougayilang is 17 inches long when collapsed, but this baby can extend to a whopping 9 feet! This is a great fishing rod for you if you are the type who thinks size matters if you know what I mean. Anyway, let’s take a look at some features:
- Made from 24-ton high-density carbon blanks
- A real seat made of corrosion-resistant CNC machined aluminum, which adds years to the life of the rod’s and
- Three-point welded stainless steel guides with ceramic inserts

Despite the weight comparison, it is still very light and portable. Heck, you can easily place it almost anywhere. It will fit very well in your car, boat hatch and even in your backpack, in case this rod is so beautiful that you simply cannot lose sight of it.
Why not try Sougayilang? It is ideal for fresh and saltwater fishing and is on the Amazon list at an incredibly low price! That’s cheap enough for an attractive rod, wouldn’t you say?
4. Goture Portable Carbon Fiber Telescopic Rod
Amy: You know, this fishing rod, in particular, reminds me of the days when my daddy and I used to go to that old saltwater lake beyond in the scream. I remember him telling me that fishing rods needed to be more innovative and easier to use. If pappy were around today, he would certainly be proud as a hit.
The Goture is known to many as “the best saltwater fishing rod” and for good reason. Being that it can be extended and retracted with the greatest ease and whenever necessary. You can make quick adjustments in case a fish starts to play hard to come by.
Its ceramic guide rings are remarkably durable. This allows for smoother and more reliable overall performance. Nothing beats that combination, no sir, but if that doesn’t impress you, let’s see what else Goture has in store for us.
- A lightweight, flexible, and highly durable carbon fiber design.
- A maximum length of 7 feet, but also capable of retracting into a compact size, making it a fantastic travel companion.
- A corrosion-resistant reel seat that will keep your reel in place. It will not bend or break under pressure and its position is adjustable.

Don’t be shy when trying. It will bring out the best in any fisherman and all for the low price. I’m telling you what, you should be glad to have the chance. My daddy would have already bought all the available rods.
5. TROUTBOY Black Warrior Fishing Rod
Amy: This one has a great name. I can see myself winning some competitions with a “Black Warrior”. The fish will shrink at my name. Oh boy, I’m excited for this one. Let’s get in full.
From what I can tell, the mango is a bit small for my taste, but that’s the only problem I see with it. It has just about everything the other rods have and it has a cooler name, making it a solid edge in my book.
I also noticed that his weight is quite well balanced. It would be hard to tire of balancing this thing. Let’s see what else needs to be said about it.
- It is made of 24-ton carbon fiber and E glass.
- A machined reel seat
- It has a powerful and comfortable grip, thanks to its EVA front handle.
- The Black Warrior comes in 6 different sizes.

It is a cool rod with cool features and a cool name. If my opinion was not clear, I think it is great, but its price is even better. That’s great if you ask me.
6. Magreel Telescopic Fishing Rod
Amy: This rod is a little bit more special. What makes it special? I’m glad you asked. Magreel is special because it is made of special carbon. What is special about carbon? …… I’m not sure, but I know it’s special and that’s what counts.
Carbon is not the only thing that makes this rod special. Magreel can reach a maximum length of almost 11 feet! I bet if a girl saw you with this stick, as long as it was, she’d think it’s pretty special, huh?
It is also quite popular. It received a 4 out of 5 stars rating with 150 votes counted on Amazon, where you can get your own for just $ 20.39. That’s the cheapest price we’ve had so far!

I know I didn’t say much about this, but there wasn’t much to say. It is a pretty decent rod.
7. Eagle Claw PK555SP Pack-It Telescopic Spinning Rod
Amy: This rod is a real gem. Yes, the pun was intended. Anyway, let’s go through this. We are nearing the end of this now and I am getting a little tired.
The eagle’s claw has:
- Durable glass construction
- Ceramic guides
- An EVA foam handle and
- A 1-year warranty. Isn’t it so ingenious?
It has a 4.2 out of 5-star rating. The price of this rod is low enough that practically nobody should rethink the purchase. Eagle Claw is primarily known for its excellent line of hooks, but they also produce affordable fishing gear that is useful to most anglers.
This rod comes in 5’6 “, which can be a bit short for most anglers. It is also made of fiberglass, making it a bit heavier than some of the more expensive options. It is perfect for storing in your car, think of it as a scan rod. Launch a cheap spinning reel and just take a look at any place that looks like it can provide good fishing.
While you’re not getting a rod built for kings with this inexpensive telescopic rod, what you’re getting is solid equipment that can make checking your regular driving spots a reality.

It also features a comfortable grip and is sturdy enough to be suitable for most freshwater applications. If you’re just looking for something to carry on your daily adventures without noticing a significant decrease in your bank account, this Eagle Claw offer is perfect for you.
8. Hurricane Mako Telescopic Rod
Amy: We are about to witness what can only be described as a perfect storm and it is sure to blow your mind. I know, the jokes are getting worse. You’ll be fine; we’re almost done anyway.
Let’s take a look:
- 6 section fiberglass rods and blank rod
- Ceramic guides
- Graphite spool pin with stainless steel padded hoods.
- An EVA foam handle
This looks like some pretty standard stuff. Is it a perfect storm? I don’t know, but I do know it can be yours for as little as $ 20, so what do you have to lose?

9. FishOaky Carbon Fiber Telescopic Fishing Pole
Amy: I don’t think I have a joke for this one, but it is fine. I’m sure you were getting tired of them. Let’s see what FishOaky can do.
This FishOaky line of folding rods is a bargain and one of the best telescopic rods you can find, period. They are made of high-quality materials and are still light and small enough to be ideal for a backpacking trip or even for day hikes.
They can take everything but the most demanding freshwater fish with surprising ease.
These rods are made for spinning reels, making them ideal for backpackers. Spinning reels tend to be much lighter than their cousins, and these rods are made for use on the go. They also collapse to a length of just over afoot. This considerable amount of collapse makes them even more ideal for the angler on a hike, as they won’t take up too much space in their herd.

The build quality and low cost of these FishOaky rods make them highly recommended. If you are looking for a telescopic rod that can support a spinning reel, you will absolutely fall in love with the FishOaky telescopic fishing rod, choose the one that is ideal for your use and you can fish anywhere, anytime.
10. Burning Shark Avengers Fishing Rod
Amy: I have no idea why a shark would be burning when underwater, but I am not a marine biologist. I am a fisherman and this is the last rod that we will be reviewing and I have saved the best for last … maybe. I can’t guarantee it, but let’s do it!
There is a lot in this rod, so let’s analyze:
- 24-ton carbon fiber and fiberglass
- Combines advanced sensitivity and lightweight design
- 5.91 ft. Telescopic extension handle
- CNC machined aluminum spool pin
- EVA foregrip
- Human Mechanics Design
- Elongated hollow handle

Yes, there are many things there. This could be the best one yet, considering its lowest price is $25-36. I guess quality doesn’t have to be expensive, so look at this rod if you want a lot.
Amy’s Guide to Buying Foldable Fishing Rods
Amy: This is the part of the article where I tell you everything you need to know about buying rods and what to look for in a quality folding fishing rod. Having purchased as many rods as I have, I have enough rod information to fill a complete series of books, but for this one, I will only cover basic needs.
The handle
Amy: Fishing rod handles come in different shapes, sizes, and materials, and choosing the right one is entirely based on your personal preference.
If you want to throw longer distances, you will want a longer handle. If you want to throw shorter distances, you will want a shorter rod. Length affects distance because the distance is also based on the force with which it sways. If your handle has room for two hands, it can swing stronger. It makes sense, right?
Reel seat
Amy: This is the part of the rod where you place the reel and adjust its position to your liking. There are a few different types of reels to choose from:
Bait Casting Reels
Professionals like me tend to prefer it because these reels work with the weight of your bait. This helps catch bigger fish.
Spinning reels
If it is still wet behind the ears, you may want to start with this. It handles lighter baits and can catch smaller fish, perfect for young whips.
Spin Cast Reels
Here is another simple one to use. All you have to do is press a button and the bait will propel the line. No hassle, no problem, am I right? Not everything has to be complicated after all.
The Blank Guides
Amy: The part of the shaft of the fishing rod is called a blank and going up through the top are these rings called guides. The guides can be made of plastic, metal, or ceramic materials. On a rotating rod, the guides are located at the bottom. Quality guides will generally allow smooth line movement.
Splints
Amy: The folding rods will have two splints. One of them is made and the other is feminine. Don’t ask me why, because I have no idea. Make sure the guides line up before joining the two pieces so that the line has a straight path. No one wants a crooked mold.
Rod length
Amy: This measurement varies greatly between different rods and will produce very different results, which means that the right length for you is entirely up to you.
As with the length of the handle, the longer the rod, the greater the distance, and vice versa. Shorter lengths do a great job in hand-to-hand combat situations and when fighting fish because the rod will have less curvature. Longer rods can be cast from afar and allow much deeper fishing, and larger fish tend to be deeper.
Fishing rods generally range from 6 to 12 feet, so experiment and see what works for you.
If you are a beginner, a 7-foot rod is probably your best option. It is well balanced, allowing you to gain some experience.
Your Rod Materials
Amy: Fishing rods are made of graphite or fiberglass and the difference between the two is significant.
Graphite rods have a lot more power to them, which is why professionals like them so well. The problem with them is that they can break quite easily, so be careful how you use them.
Fiberglass rods are much more durable, but with that added protection comes more weight, so there are two sides to each coin.
Of course, you could also have a rod that combines both materials. A good amount of power and solid durability always works better than one or the other. I guess you can have your cake and eat it too.
Use all the information I have given you and get the best telescopic fishing rod. You will love how it feels to catch fish with a top-of-the-line portable fishing rod or travel fishing rod.
Billy: Wow! What a comment, Amy! You’ve shown our audience what these wonder rods are all about!
